Every year we receive many calls about getting rid of spiders in the Grand Prairie area. Whatever your reason for wanting to get rid of them in your home, our specialists are here to help.
General Spider Solutions
We can appreciate that there are many of you who hate the thought of them in your home. If this is you, then we can help you get rid of your current crawlers and help prevent future ones from making their way into your house. To do this, we must get rid of your current, as well as exterminate other bugs. This is because they go where the bugs are. If you get rid of the bugs, then they will have no reason to stick around. The majority of ‘house’ spiders are harmless and never a real threat but residents don’t choose to share their space with them, nonetheless.
2 Main Types Of Poisonous Spider Found In Grand Prairie
Black Widow Spider
The Black Widow is a type of spider with a black line on its back. They are typically found outside of our houses. It’s common to find them inside closets or other dark, shady areas where we rarely clean.
Their reason for infiltrating houses or establishments is they see an abundance of insects or bugs and these are their food source.
Unlike the black widow, the brown recluse rarely bites humans. If they do, it is because we intentionally poked their nests, or we rolled on them while we are sleeping. Their bite results in lesions or wounds, nausea, and fever.
In order to completely get rid of the spiders, you must first make sure to get rid of the other many insects and pests.
Black Widow Spider
A black shiny body with red markings on its belly is usually the mark of this kind. These are found outdoors in woodpiles, barns, and sheds. It’s also not uncommon to find them inside a home or building.
Homes or buildings that are infested with insects are usually the target of this creature. They are beneficial but when these are provoked, especially female black widows, they could and will attack humans.
The bite of the female black widow could affect our nervous system. You may feel severe pain, burning, swelling, and redness when bitten. You may even see two fang marks. So be careful and don’t poke at tall grasses and piles of wood where these may be found.
If you have seen one of the poisonous ones, then you’ll want one of our pest exterminators to remove them and look for others in the vicinity.
